I chose Zircon for my Z word and thanks to a bit of brainstorming with my pal over lunch in the office, I have opted for jewellery theme. Zircon is a gemstone (not to be confused with cubic zirconia which is a man-made crystal), often used to simulate diamond but comes in many colours, the most popular for jewellery being blue.
I used only one stamp on this page, the gemstone from a Lynne Perrella set. I drew the beads for the necklace and the shell with the pearl inside. Actually it looks a bit fat, more like a flower, it is a bit puffy. Ha! It was good fun to do and I probably should have drawn it in pencil first but you live and learn! From a distance the page looks a bit like a face, actually, the more I look at the page the more I am thinking this is not my best effort so will try to do better next time.
Have fun everyone,
Catch you later. x
An original piece. Your gemstones look very desirable but now you've mentioned the face yes I can see a skull.
ReplyDeleteWell done for coming up with a Z....I might be struggling with this one as so far I can only think zebra!

I was super impressed with your zircon entry, and how well you illustrated it. I think it's beautiful and well done on the pearl, too.
ReplyDeleteHad you not put the thought into my head, I would never had thought the page looked like a face. Now I can't/don't see it any other way! It was and IS a great piece, though.
Fantastic idea, solving your pearl conundrum! Very well drawn too...
ReplyDeleteFab page - and it looks like a skull to me too! :D
ReplyDeleteFabulous idea and your drawing is great. I can see the face as well.
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud when I read the face comment as I hadn't seen it until then! A lovely page beautifully drawn xxx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant page and well done on drawing. It made me smile and with the quirky eyebrow too! Love the idea of your pearl in its shell.
ReplyDeleteA brilliant word to use and love your jewels. I think you have done a fab job of this page and yes I can see a face too :)
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen a face until you mentioned it! You overcame the problem pearl perfectly. A great page and choice of word.
