Ally Pally Recovery Day

I had a day off work today which was just as well since I went up to Alexandra Palace yesterday for the Big Stamp show. Fantastic day, the first time I have been and I certainly want to go again next year as the show is so huge there just isn't the time to browse everything and watch the demos. I came home with a bag full of goodies and wanted to spend some time playing with them today.

I caved in and bought the PaperArtsy Eclectica set ELB03, I had my eye on that one for a while. Isn't it annoying when you think you have loads of time to play but in fact the day just flies by and all you have to show for it is one little project. Here it is, a tag using my new stamps.

Stamps : PaperArtsy Eclectica ELB03
Background : Distress inks - Worn lipstick, wild honey and vintage photo, spritzed with water, just a little bit.
The main image is stamped in black archival and the smaller tulip heads in saffron archival ink. I stamped the main image again on white cardstock, coloured them with distress markers and cut out the flower and leaves and attached them with Pinflair glue gel to raise them.
The ribbon is Inkylicious chalk white crinkle ribbon, another acquisition from yesterday's outing, coloured with matching distress ink.

Running out of time today, I guess I should have taken two days off!!

  1. Gorgeous tag - love the golden, glowing sky behind your stunning tulip! Glad to hear Ally Pally lived up to expectations... hope to make it myself next time around - see you there?!

  2. Lovely tag Julia, as are the photos from the Paper Artsy stand that you sent the way the eclectica stamps work- I'm just not sure if they are for me!

  3. Beautiful tag and it sounds like you had a great time at Alley Pally

    Love Chrissie xx
