Yesterday I popped in to Hobbycraft and found one of their £1 clear rubber stamps that I thought would work really well on a twinchie. I like the Scandinavian Christmas designs and this one reminds me of knitwear, you know, those jumpers that people wore at Christmas in the 70's and surprise surprise, they are back in the shops again now.
I made a set of three using pearlescent crimson Brilliance dewdrop ink to stamp the image on white cardstock and the same around the borders of the squares. The baubles are cut using a Sizzix die, masked and stamped using the same stamp and mounted with mini foam pads. I added pearls as accents on the baubles to finish them off.
I hope you like them.
Julia,
ReplyDeleteI luv the 3D shadow from the raised card, and the patterns. And of course the color.....
Arent you the trendy one! Last night a pal told me about giving all her female family members that sort of jumper for Xmas last year, she had got battery operated mini fairy lights that she pushed thro' the knitwear and then made sure they stayed put using duck tape....saw the photos and they looked surprisingly good :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, what a great christmas twinchies!I like the stamps and I love the colours you have chosen.

ReplyDeleteCute twinchies. love the designs. x
ReplyDeleteSoooo wonderful twinchies
ReplyDeleteI had a little chuckle when I saw these.....re-your comment about knitwear. I had a great little cottage industry in the 70's and 80's making machine-knitted jumpers....especially 'snowflake' ones! These are so reminiscent of those snowy patterns I used......brilliant twinchies, well done x
