Winter Trees

I didn't manage to post anything for last week's Craft Barn challenge due to the usual Christmas panic but this week's theme is "Tree" so it seems appropriate to enter a card I made using my Winter Trees Woodware stamp purchased at The Craft Barn. The design is not entirely original as it was inspired by a Brusho's demo by Kay Carley earlier in the year. Thanks Kay.

The trees are stamped and embossed in black on ordinary stamping card then Brushos (grey) added with lots of water. Shabby white embossing enamel is sprinkled on for the snow.

I love tree images so maybe I will manage a second entry for this challenge before Christmas, who knows.

Stay warm,
Julia x

  1. There's is such a beautiful feel to this card, very atmospheric.

  2. Looks very wintry! Bit like out my window...big fat white flakes falling from the sky, very Brrr!

    Seasons greetings

  3. Stunning card Julia. Love the effects on the background you have created with the brushos. Have a lovely weekend.

  4. Beautiful card Julia, thank you for entering The Craft Barn Challenge.
    Merry Christmas, Jane x

  5. You have captured a cold winter's day perfectly.

  6. Love the gorgeous smoky look to this, Julia, and the tree stamps are lovely. Great wintry feel. Sorry to be so late with Christmas and New Year wishes, but you know what it's like!! Hope 2016 brings you all good things.
