Alpha/Dictionary Challenge 2016 : K

I had loads of ideas for the letter K but opted for Kimono. I have to admit that this was mainly because the position of the word on my dictionary page was in the right place and the definition not too long and wordy.

This is my entry for the Craft Barn Alpha/Dictionary challenge : K -

All images are from an old set of wooden stamps called Japanese by All Night Media and coloured with distress markers. The geisha was stamped on tissue paper and stuck to the page with matt Mod Podge (magic stuff, love it).

Enjoy what's left of your Sundays and thank you so much to all of you who comment on my dictionary pages, I really do appreciate it. x

  1. Lovely page, and the perfect opportunity to use old stash! having the right stamps for the word is half the battle for me, and this is pretty much my strategy when I select my word for the challenge.

  2. Never even thought of kimono! I wanted to do keys but the page was missing :-(. It's funny that the geisha stamp has cropped up twice this week in my feed - DLP happy mail was the other, I gave that very same set so it's been good to see them again & maybe I will use them myself soon.

  3. That is a fabulous set of stamps, great page. Thank you for your comment on my blog. I already have the Tate's Painting with Light on my list of exhibitions to see this summer, sounds very interesting.

  4. Lovely page, I used kimono in the last dictionary challenge so had to find something else. I totally agree with you about trying to find words that fit with what you have, sometimes it takes a lot of thought though.

  5. I remember seeing those stamps before, and it was wonderful that you had a chance to use them. I sometimes wonder how people have so many stamps, since mine are so limited. But these were absolutely perfect, right down to the bamboo. It's a lovely illustration and what appears to be a word everyone, including myself, likes.
